展览序：

    我们怀揣着对艺术十分虔诚的心，在朋友们、艺术家们、学者们的导引下，小心翼翼地走进了艺术的殿堂。然而，我们的心却没有雀跃而游。

    我们看到的不是那些我们心目中的无羁无绊的，释放了人的本性的艺术作品，而是被外物所役使，被外物所左右的作品。更让人心惊的是，有些终日浸泡在醉乡的创作者们却自以为清醒，他们的作品涂鸦的象个小丑，自己却深沉地自称痛苦，可谓盲人瞎马啊！真不知，至性真情有几人。
 
    凝气找寻，我们还是寻得了庄子所云的“内不化”者，这些鲜有的内不化者，坚持着自己的态度和性情，这种性情又超然地与外界通达，与时代顺应，其作品用心留意至极，真可为大道合乎自然。

    我们为我们寻得的这几位艺术家作了一点研究，就他们的共性作了一点基本分析：他们内心清明，其作品都具有鲜明的个性和时代的特征；他们均是中央美术学院和中国美术学院，中国两所最高艺术学府的教授；他们都有明确的学术追求和专业研究的深度。我们选择的四位艺术家绝非我们在研究其背景之后而确定的，其实正好相反，这就不得不使我们对艺术研究有更深层的思考了。我们将他们的作品和他们的艺术思想呈现给大家，希望我们的努力使你能够将艺术的心跳听的更清，将艺术的视野看的更广。

Preface
With pious hearts for art and under the guidance of friends, artists, and scholars, we enter the artistic hall scrupulously. Our hearts, however, are not as free as unconstrained bird.
What we see is not the artistic works that are unimpeded as expected in our minds and set free human nature, but those bound and affected by the external environment. What is more worrisome is that the drunken artistic creators conceive themselves awake, and that while they are doodling crown-like works they claim to be bitterly melancholy; it is as dangerous as a blind man on a blind horse – rushing headlong to a disaster. We even wonder if there still exist people who are true to themselves.
Seeking arduously, we eventually discover several rare “internally faithful” people who adhere to their own attitudes and temperament; this sort of temperament transcendentally corresponds to the outside world and the times, and their works are painstakingly sincere and in harmony with nature.
We have done some research on the several artists we discovered, and conducted some basis analyses on their shared characteristics: they are clear-minded whose works are tinged with distinct personality and times; they are all professors from China Academy of Art and Central Academy of Fine Arts, two top institutes of art in China; they have explicit academic pursuit and profound specialized research. Our choice of the four artists is by no means determined after we have studied their background – the fact being the opposite – which propels us to have more profound contemplation on artistic research. We present their works and artistic ideas to you in the hope of enabling you, with our concerted efforts, to hear more clearly the heartbeat of art and to expand your artistic vision.
